New jade is also known as Serpentine. It is thought to assist to soothe the emotional body, and releases fear of change and hardship. As such, it is thought to help us to look to the future with a positive outlook. It is believed to contain the history of the Earth, the fairy domains and the Devic realms of the planet.
New "jade" serpentine is said to have the same spiritual values as green jade. Because it produces a tranquil mood, it helps ease feelings of depression, especially when we feel stuck in a situation.
Even though they are similar, their colour tone differs slightly. Jade has a sage green color, new jade has a yellowish-green hue. The patterns in new jade represent snakeskin, which is also why it is known as serpentine. Jade, on the other hand, has a solid green colour with very light patterns of white lines.
It is a good emotional healer, enhancing psychic powers and giving protection whilst working.
